My name is Richard L. Selden and I am 66 years young. I have been on dialysis for 3 years. I was on PD Home Dialysis for 2 years before I moved to Hemodialysis which I have been on for 1 year.

Prior to retiring, due to my kidney failure disability, I was employed by Acu-Rite Companies Inc., for 26 years. As a part time job for 25 years I ran my own horse shoeing business.

I have always enjoyed the outdoors and horseback riding. Horses have been a part of my life but since my kidney failure I have had to give up my horse and trail riding.
